Our pastor, Dr. Derrick A. Justice, is a tremendous speaker with a dynamic personality, and a genuine love for God's people.

He was born in Durham, N.C. and grew up and attended school in Hampton, VA, where he was raised by a single parent. After working for several years as a marketing professional, Dr. Justice walked away from his secular career to answer God's call on his life. He entered The Divinity School of Duke University to properly train and prepare to serve God and His people.

Dr. Justice makes his home in Clayton, NC, and he has two sons: Joshua and Joseph.

Pastor Justice is also a Professor of English at Shaw University, and he has also served on the Board of Directors at the Baptist House of Studies at Duke University.

In 2013, Rev. Justice earned his doctoral degree at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. His soon to be published dissertation, Family Meal Plan: A Postmodern Approach to Healing the Disrupted Family, is a ground-breaking research effort that promises to provide 21st century leaders with the tools necessary to better serve and understand the modern family and all its various forms that now appear and frequent the local church and institutions throughout the country.

Dr. Justice’s motto is "if God be for you, He’s more than the world against you."
